Implementation Solutions in PeopleSoft & JD Edwards
Companies today generally consider the following items for an upgrade; functional, technical, operational and support.  TechStone enables clients to understand these main topics fully before and during a PeopleSoft 9.0 upgrade.  From a functional standpoint, the customer must understand the latest features of the 9.0 release, the differences between 9.0 and their current versions and how these can be applied to their current business processes.  A functional understanding of the software is essential in beginning the upgrade process.  TechStone provides TFE’s (TechStone Functional Experts) that specialize in this educational and requirements gathering phase of an upgrade project.  These are trained PeopleSoft professionals with business backgrounds as CPA’s or former HR managers.   Technology considerations are also important in 9.0 upgrades.  PeopleSoft continues to thrive in SQL, Oracle and Linux infrastructures.  For the first time and with this latest release, Oracle’s Fusion Middleware is leveraged to better integrate cross-applications and provide more automation and business process efficiencies.

PeopleSoft Financial Management Solutions (FMS) empower the employee to identify the right markets and customers, and the right offerings and solutions through a unified source of information.  PeopleSoft FMS 9.0 allows greater compliance such as with the U.S. government’s Office of Foreign Assets.  This includes the ability to validate customers and suppliers automatically against the Specially Designated Nationals list via Web services.  In PeopleSoft Supplier Relationship Management 9.0 dashboards are enhanced with provided KPI’s.  And, in PeopleSoft Supply Chain Management 9.0 an improved 360-degree customer view has been added.

TechStone and Oracle can now offer more than 800 enhancements and new products in JD Edwards since Xe.  There’s been an emphasis in the User Experience with the latest releases including the redesign of applications.  Sales Order Entry has been redesigned in order to optimize user task completion rates and is now more than 30% faster.  Other enhancements include those in manufacturing and CRM.  Customers on Xe can upgrade to a more current version of EnterpriseOne and have a number of options to consider.  These include versions 8.9, 8.10, 8.11 and 8.12.

Driving down the costs for the business owner is the main emphasis for v8.12.  There’s enhancements around greater usability and performance.  Below are some key benefits:
